Funding Organization: IDFA Bertha Fund (IBF)

Funding focus: Dedicated to strengthening independent, author-driven documentary filmmaking in regions and communities where access to funding and distribution for independent creative documentary film is structurally challenging—across Africa (including Ghana), The grant aims to: Enhance global visibility of selected films through screenings and premieres. Support original and urgent storytelling from underrepresented regions. Promote filmmaker vision and creativity

Eligibility Criteria: Films in production or post-production, Pre-production projects must provide a research/fundraising teaser or plan. Post-production projects must submit a rough cut or edited sequence of up to 20 minutes. Submissions: Audiovisual materials must have English subtitles and be accessible via a link (e.g., Vimeo/YouTube) without login or download requirements

Grant Limit:  up to €25,000

Deadline: 10-Feb-2026
